I'm beginning to think a lot about Christmas

November...already.
It's after 5th so I can allow myself to prepare.
Hoping to improve on hand made this year...watch this space!
Loving the all white minimalist decor look.
Trying to keep things in perspective, do you know what I mean?
I mean it's not all about glitz and glam is it?

What my new name in Him is?
Who does He see me becoming? A rock like Simon who He renamed Peter?

Kenya trip was postponed, it's looking like February!
Excited, nervous.
Questioning "why me"?

Wonder if Mary thought that ever?

New year, so whats new...

I can't believe it's over 12 months since I last wrote. So much has happened:
Sophie made us so proud by achieving amazing results and getting a place at Manchester university
alistair had amazing achievements in football and cricket (not called trueman for nothing you know!)
Sophie moved into halls & although I was keen to help[ her make her flat homely I didn't want to make it too much like home- do you know what I mean?
Dad died
Christmas came and we managed it
Alistair is studying hard to get the results he desires for his future
Cris is supportive of all that the children want to do & does all he can to help them achieve it
I am going to Kenya in June to teach radiographers to do CT!!
Remember to never agree to something without thinking it through first!
But God is good, He never ceases to amaze me with his generosity and favour.

abundant life

when God promised us an abundant life, thats exactly what he meant -abundance!
We have a generous God.

Trouble is, thats fine when it's stuff we like, that makes us smile, laugh, love more.
What about when it involves pain, hurt, the loss of a loved one?

We have recently had some evening services at church that have enabled us to spend some time worshipping, and glorifying our amazing good, generous God.
Discerning His presence, His voice.
We were reminded of the time when Elisha ran away because he was scared, and God came to him.
There was a mighty wind- but God wasn't in the wind
There was an earthquake- but God wasn't in the earthquake
There was fire-but God wasn't in the fire
then God whispered to Elisha.
God whispered to me
I know how you're feeling, I watched my only son die....

Abundant love....nothing else like it

It's never too late to be the person you were meant to be...

Take my life and make it beautiful.

I never cease to be amazed by Gods grace. It means we get to have life in all its fullness AND we get to become the person God imagined us to be, if we only open up and allow Him to change us.
We limit ourselves by what we have become, radiographer, mother ,wife- but God knows no limits.
and it's never too late

First Post

Well this is new!
I decided that I would like to start a blog, a sort of on line diary.
I don't think I shall be too worried if no-body follows it
It's a way of putting thoughts, hopes,loves and concerns down on paper.
Loves....
love my family, love that they love me!
love my Lord, saviour , redeemer and friend.
love my church
love my hens and zebbie our crazy cat!
love gardening, re-arranging the house
love being inspired
love the vintage lived in, re-cycled look.
love cooking and I love it when everybody enjoys what I cook!
love to laugh, though not loving how I cry at the smallest thing!!
love how God turns worldly things upside down

love it when things happen that just HAVE to be God
